Therefore, it is no surprise that when things start changing within a relationship it could cause one or both partners to question their relationship. These changes can be something as small as you not getting a haircut or letting go as far as your image is concerned. You need to understand that just because things are changing; it does not mean it is a bad thing. While this is great, after a while you might get so comfortable in the relationship that you stop keeping a check on your appearance. Why your partner hates it: Well it is pretty obvious. A birthday or an anniversary is an important occasion that everyone would like to be wished for. Even if you regret forgetting and get him or her the best birthday present - they will still feel bad that you forgot. TEMPER If you constantly get irritable when you used to control your temper around him or her, your partner has good reason to get annoyed. Adoption - Persistence Pays In Finding A Child To Adopt

By Bob Crane After learning that we could not have any children of our own we thought about adopting. We had heard about the abundance of children waiting to be adopted and that they would appreciate having a home to call their own. We took the necessary steps with our state to apply for the adoption process. We had no idea that the process was so involved. After learning what the background checks were for it all made sense. The state didnt want to place a child into a home that was unfit for children so they had to check out each applicant thoroughly. Part of the background check required finger prints be taken and to fill out a form listing people who knew you and ones you worked with who may not have known you so well. There was also an eight week class to teach the aspects of child rearing and what to expect throughout the adoption process. The class was extensive covering everything from vandalism to a child with severe depression. The vandalism comes in if you happen to get a child that was abused in some way and vandalizing something is their way of acting out their fear and frustration. We were told to expect both possibilities and that either would require professional help to work with the child. Everything went according to plan. We graduated from the class and them had our home study done. The home study is where a social worker comes to your home to check on the type of environment that the child would be exposed to. At the time we had a small three bedroom house and the social worker pointed that out to us by emphasizing how small the house was. I never found out why she commented on the house size there was surely enough room for one maybe two children. So after the home study was complete we were told that they would be in touch with us about events you could go to where you could meet children up for adoption. We waited for weeks and didnt hear anything from the adoption agency. The agency had a website with pictures of children up for adoption that we kept up to date with only to find out that the state never updated the list so many of the children on the website had already been placed in a home. Weeks went by and we still never heard anything but we kept preparing for the eventual arrival of a child. My wife had the better paying job of the two of us so I started a small home business that I would work with full time once we finally got a child. After not hearing anything for a long time I started to make some phone calls and found out that the state employees had been replaced with subcontractors and they had no record of us at all. It turns out that they lost the records of a lot of prospective parents. So because our records were lost we would have to go through the whole process all over again including the class. We became discouraged after a couple of years of going through this plus we felt that we were possibly too old at this time to even try to adopt a child so we never took it any further. At the time I didnt know that various churches had affiliation with children up for adoption. We were told that if we had looked further we may have found a child with one of them and our paperwork could have been transferred to them for qualification to be able to adopt. So had we followed up and not just blindly trusted the state we may have been parents today. If you are considering adopting dont make the same mistake that we did by trusting someone to follow through on your behalf. You have to take an active role in the search for a child to adopt. If you are looking on websites for children make sure you check to see if the website has been updated so you dont get your heart set on someone only to find out that they had been adopted a month earlier. 8 BIG Benefits To Selling Big Ticket Items

Ok, before we get down to the benefits of selling Big Ticket Items,
we had better define what a Big Ticket Item is.

A Big Ticket Item is any product or service that sells for more than
$500 or $1000.

Or, at least, thats my definition.

The truth is, the definition of a Big Ticket Item really depends on
where you are starting.


Maybe you already sell E-Books or some other product for between
$17 and $97. Or maybe you think $200 to $300 is a lot of money.

My point is, the definition of Big Ticket depends a lot on your
perspective. For now, it just helps to use the simple definition
I have provided.

Now, maybe you are completely happy selling E-Books or other lower
priced items. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact,
every really successful marketer has a range of products that they
sell or use as lead generators. Robert Allen calls this multiple
streams of income.

Now, lets take a close look at the BIG Benefits to selling
Big Ticket Items.


Benefit #1: Sell Less Product and Make More Money!

An example will help. Lets say you sell an E-Book for $17.
How many E-Books do you have to sell to make $5000?

The answer is 295! Thats a lot of E-Books!

Now say instead you sold an information product that consisted of
6 CDs and instruction manual. And it sells for $297. How many
copies do you have to sell to make $5000?

17 copies!

Or, to take this a bit further, say you had a complete home study
system which included 20 CDs, 20 DVDs, 3 training manuals and 1
Year of Free Access to a Membership Site. How much would that be
worth? How about $1499? How many of these systems do you have to
sell to make $5000?

ONLY 4 copies!

Note: if you are selling as an affiliate for someone elses product
then it may take you slightly longer since you are making less money
per sale than if you owned the product.

But the point is that you can sell much less product and make
more money!


Benefit #2: The Money is in the Backend!

If you ask anyone who has been really successful in the marketing
business where the money is, they will tell you its in the backend.

What does that really mean? It means youre not going to get rich selling
E-Books or other Low Ticket Items!!! Sorry, its the truth.

You need a strategy to build relationships with your customers that
move them from being prospects to customers. Initially that means they
will buy some low priced item from you. Once they come to trust you as
a customer, some of them become highly valued clients when they purchase
Big Ticket Items from you.

Joel Christopher calls this the Profit Pipeline model.

And Ted Nicholas says you shouldnt even launch a lead product unless
you have a medium or big ticket product ready to follow it up with.


Benefit #3: Your Net Profit is Substantially Higher!

Now, I admit that net profit depends on the product you are selling.
But, for Big Ticket information products, real estate or other unique
and specialty items, your profit is usually much larger than on a
low ticket item.

E-Books are cheap to create. Production costs are zero on a digitally
downloaded E-Book. So, your sale on a $17 E-Book is almost pure profit.

But, the creation and production costs of a similar Big Ticket information
product, although higher, are still pretty low. Really, just the cost of CDs,
DVDs, and their cases, binders, burning the CDs or DVDS and printing out
your hard copy information. Maybe $30, and that might be on the high side.

So on a $1500 product your net profit is $1470!!!


Benefit #4: Big Ticket Products Have Higher Perceived Value

And not just due to the price tag either. The products are generally
more comprehensive or represent a substantial investment on the part
of the customer, both in terms of time and money.

So even though product creation and production costs might be low,
perceived value is extremely high.


And many extremely successful marketers including Joel Christopher
and Ted Nicholas have found that physical products are perceived to
be of even higher value than digital products. E.g. response rates
were higher when selling an actual hard bound book as compared to
its digital equivalent.

Also, product returns are actually less with Big Ticket items because
the customers themselves are more invested in the product. Its easier
to admit you made a mistake and return a low ticket product than to
admit a mistake on a big ticket item.


Benefit #5: Customers are More Likely to Actually Use and Benefit from
Big Ticket Items

Benefit #5 is closely related #4. Since the investment by the customer
(cash, time and emotional investment) is so much higher for a big
ticket item, consequently, so is their personal level of commitment to
actually use the product and benefit from it!


After all, as product creators and marketers, we are supplying these
items so that people will actually use and reap the rewards from
our products.



Benefit #6: Big Ticket Customers Go on your Most Valued Clients List

These are the folks who have typically bought a low ticket item from you
already. Not always, but usually. The fact that they are purchasing a
big ticket item from you now indicates that they are putting a lot of
trust in you and your product or service.

These people are also the most likely to buy from you again and again.
And, they have the capital to do it. If you are not already doing so
you should have a specific sub list of your customers who are big
ticket item purchasers. Joel Christopher calls this sub list his
highly valued clients list.

Existing clients are also your best source for future business.

Dan Kennedy has said that he became a millionaire by selling to many,
many people. But he became a multi-millionaire selling to a much
smaller, select group of his existing customers. That was Dans
big ticket sub list!

Treat the people on this sub list very specially. They should be
getting your some of your most valuable information and unexpected
bonuses, for FREE!

You should also give them first chance at other high ticket items
you have, create or endorse.

They have shown you their trust, make sure you show them you
appreciate them.


Benefit #7: Once You Develop the Big Ticket Mind Set You
Can Do Anything

The leap from selling a product at $17 or $49 or even $99 to
selling a product at $999, $1599, $2499, $4999 or even $1M is
a giant one. It requires a shift in mindset and perspective.

But, once you make that shift, there are no limits! It is then
only a matter of scale.

Plus, once you have that paradigm shift, it is also reflected
in all other aspects of your life.


Confidence, imagination, belief, personal power are all
increased and improved!


Benefit #8: Return on Investment

Financial planners, stock traders, business people all think
about return on investment or ROI.

Return on investment is simply what you think you are going to
get out of the investment based on what you put in.

Many investors and business people wont invest in equities or
projects unless they think they can double or triple their
investment.

The investment might be money, services or time and labor.

Face it, You're going to do one or more of the following
activities. Write a one page sales letter, create a direct mail
campaign, create a website, hook up a shopping cart, drive
traffic to the site and basically do all the other things we
do as marketers!

The Last Chore of the Gardening Year : Raking Leaves

By Kate Copsey When we see colorful fall leaves on the trees, they are beautiful! Red maples, yellow tulip trees and other bright colors light up the neighborhood as well as the hillsides. The downside to the color is that the mechanism that causes the change from green to red/yellow also caused the leave to drop from the tree. When the leaves fall in a forest they decompose into fine mulch that returns nutrients to the ground. In gardens though, the ground surrounding a tree is often grass and perennial beds. These may also benefit from some mulch, but too many fresh leaves will have a detrimental effect on the lawn, as well as perennial beds. The problem occurs because decomposition of the leaves takes a long time. When the leaves fall, they are dry and light, but at the first rainfall they become a soggy, cemented mass of black which not only cuts off the light to the grass, but slows the oxygen getting to the lawn. Decomposition also uses nitrogen in the early stages which it takes from wherever it can, including your fertilized lawn. That said though, a few leaves on the lawn are not going to kill it. Rather than ridding the lawn of all the fallen leaves, mow over the leaves when they are freshly fallen and dry. This will allow the leaves to break up into small pieces that can be easily incorporated into the soil safely. If you have several trees that are dropping large volumes of leaves, then clearly you will have to rake them. The raked leaves, preferably mown over, can be spread over the perennial beds as a mulch to help keep the soil and moisture consistent over the winter. Again though, do not let the mulch get too high as this will be detrimental to the plants. A thicker layer can be applied to the vegetable bed to condition that area and supply nutrients for next season. Remember too that if you have a large pile of leaves, and young children, they will love to run and jump into the pile. This as great excercise for kids in the fresh air and fosters a sense of fun in the garden which should be encouraged and nourished. The leaves can also be composted. Municipalities are having to accommodate restrictions on garden waste to the local dump, so they prefer that you put the leaves into a decomposable bag, available from the local hardware store. Do not put the bag out when it is about to rain though, as the bag will disintegrate when wet. So the key to dealing with fallen leaves is to mow over the first batch and use this as mulch for the perennial beds, around trees and in the vegetable plot. Rake the bulk of the leaves if you have a significant amount and compost them, leaving the last few on the lawn to decompose. Finally, if you have no other options, then bag the leaves responsibly and let your town take them to a municipal mulch pile. A firm may also divide a mass market based on the consumer's amount of usage of a product or service, the type of usage involved, and what benefits the consumer is looking for. (Alana) Well this is the year that the karma of the collective body catalyzes to more directly confront the mass dogma in terms of communications. A MASS PURGE will catalyze humanity to surrender to a most evocative process, one of healing; communications and a purging of all that has encapsulated trauma. The opportunity now is to shift this template of fear at its foundational core levels. Through embracing the body memory and the deepest ancestral roots the collective body is amplifying "issues within the tissues" so we may bring healing to that which is stored in the memory. This enables the rebalancing of the male/female polarities within self and within community. At this time the galactic heart centre pulsates to quicken and ignite TRUTH as a liberating force; we find ourselves in a transition process, moving from what has held us to the past into a new life; a new collective story. Before we are able to co-create the forms and structures of this new "heart based story", we are undergoing/witnessing the deep changes (a paradigm shift) which will support living in accordance with this "vital life patterning" even as we purge the death oriented way of living that has anchored deeply within the memories (both collective and individual) we hold. These memories which hold in place the 'death oriented spin' tying us to the re-enactment of personal traumas and collective earth dramas. It is not simply a matter of choosing love over fear; rather it is a time to embrace fear with love in order that we may transform the traumas that have tied us to fear and judgement as a consciousness and bodily experience. This template of fear has confined the body and psyche to a matrix of repression and denial resulting in oppression of life. The life force cannot be held back anymore...it has been turned against the self far too long...this is a denial of self, and has manifested as self hatred and hatred for the body. The shame, guilt and the distortions, the fear and the anger has been turned against the self, has been turned against and exacted upon brother and sister. The deep historic memories of genocide has had ones isolate and separate, fearing self and other and the urge to purge - that which comes from the deep.
We sense and feel the collective energy as a pressurized feeling as much desires to be released. There is an overwhelming feeling - an energy of chaos as humanity moves into a cycle of purging traumatic memory. There is a freeing of that which has been held in the collective body. Many believe that 'to be alive is to feel pain'. A resistance within the self to experience pain has deadened the life force and has resulted in external oppressive circumstances bearing heavily upon humanity, even to the point of militaristic oppression externally reflecting the inner resistances. Fearing the life force, humans have come to a place of living predominantly in the mind, and consequently many have become increasingly out of touch with the inherent wisdom and emerging needs of the body. The greatest paradox of our time is that we all seek to experience love and freedom in life, and yet even as the life force seeks to free us from the pain, humans fear and resist re-experiencing the pain inherent within the body memory. Humans have long feared confronting the traumatic memories of our individual and collective history and yet these are the very memories stored within our body, and the earth body that we are being called to embrace, heal and transform. The macrocosm of the earth is reflective of humanity's necessity to release in deep and profound ways, as significant trauma held within the body is becoming activated. There are many ready to release and transform body memories as they pertain to persecution memories and memories of other historical genocides. We are seeing a mass movement away from city dwellings. They know in the deepest level of their being, in their body being, of that which is to come, in their instincts, to move out of significant active areas, centres of earth activity. All of these changes are in support of creating the new earth experience, another reality construct in support of living heaven on earth once we come face to face with all that has been created supportive of separation and what many have called the 'hells". As a collective we are passing through the final hell (underworld) cycles as outlined in the Mayan Calendar in order to effectively process our his-tory. This next year involves getting very practical and attending to what needs to be put in place to resolve and complete projects while working in teams to create new initiatives. New initiatives and alliances through Spirit will empower movement forward in support of community creating systems and structures conducive of assisting groups through the changes. These opportunities will reveal to us our strengths and our weaknesses. Courageous Ones Needed to Step Forward Now!! To work with the spirit and the body (personal and earth), to be willing to be warriors; 'heart warriors' akin to some indigenous peoples of old (in particular the Shaman Warriors who 'walk between the worlds'). Be willing to cry, to dance, to sing, to speak - alive and aware of our primal nature... it is time to come alive. This is the energy/intent desiring to be experienced and expressed more fully. This is the year when the fear that comes from the deep will come up to seep through the soil, that which has been the blood, that which has been the war about the oil, coming to a head. That which has been dead, will be resurrected, that which has been asleep, is quickening now. From the deepest levels, ancestral memories are surfacing. This next year will see people coming to terms with information that has long been repressed as well as the energy of trauma which has been held deep within the collective as it involves historical genocide and persecution. The energies are very much akin to major spasms opening to free what has been building in intensity. Within the US, fear escalates concerning flu scare. The media blows this issue way out of proportion which results in a huge shockwave that has lots of people upset. We see that there are many emergencies throughout the year; however it gives opportunities for people to respond and address issues in new ways. President Bush will be facing the music this year in some major way because there will be such outcry over an event and this facilitates significant healing collectively. Political unrest and a big upset in Washington, big upset...abreactions in major cities with a propensity for in the streets rioting and demonstrations as ones revolt against that which have been the oppressive systems and peoples abusing power.
In the US, major issues emerge - emergencies...about how things are handled, lots is coming to a head regards how things are being handled. There looks to be an increase in UFO sightings and increased opportunity for telepathic communications between extraterrestrial and human as well as interspecies throughout the earth. That which has been repressed as information will be more directly confronted in 2006. Prominent figures will go more public to release important documentation and proof of repressed information as it pertains to sightings and actual technological advancements which have originated from ET sources. There are key people within particular circles who will be sharing information that blows the lid off of what has been information suppression. There is a certain group who will go public to expose certain human experiments as it has involved extraterrestrial. A storm of reactivity will prevail. Breaks in soil - earth quake epicentre activity interfacing with volcanic activity. Many will be grieving significant losses because the earth is going to change so much from what it has been.
